Prashant Kishor’s health was normal despite being fast for over 24 hours in severe cold conditions.
Patna January 3, 2025: While Prashant Kishor is sitting on an indefinite hunger strike, the district administration of Patna sent a team of doctors to conduct his health check-up on Friday evening.
Prashant Kishor, who has been on a hunger strike for over 24 hours at Gandhi Maidan, demanded the cancellation of the 70th BPSC examination.
Doctors checked Prashant Kishor’s health on Friday evening:
A team of doctors, led by Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, examined Kishor’s health at 8:30 PM on Friday evening.
Dr. Rajiv Ranjan said Kishor is experiencing symptoms of mild bronchitis and has been advised to take extra precautions, especially in the severe cold weather.
“All vitals are normal, and there is no immediate danger to his health. He has a good immune system that was described as strong, contributing to his overall stable condition despite the fast,” he said.

Earlier, district administration has made multiple appeals to end the hunger strike, Prashant Kishor remains firm in his protest, standing in solidarity with the BPSC candidates.
On Friday afternoon, an ADM rank officer of Patna visited the protest site, urging Kishor to end his hunger strike. However, Kishor refused, stating. “Thousands of children have faith in me. On December 29, I asked the students to disperse the administration’s orders, but they were brutally lathi-charged. Under no circumstances will I withdraw this movement on administrative orders,”
Prashant Kishor, the leader of the Jan Suraj Party, continued his hunger strike on Friday under the open sky at Gandhi Maidan, Patna.
Kishor clarified the sole condition for ending the hunger strike, “This movement will be withdrawn only when the Chief Minister meets the children, listens to them, and allows them to decide the next course of action. I will accept the decision of the children.
