RJD leaders categorically denied exit polls, BJP claimed Narendra Modi will become PM for the 3rd time.

Patna, June 1, 2024: Even as exit polls projected a comfortable victory for the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, the RJD leaders out rightly rejected the surveys, calling them irrelevant and manipulated.

RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan alleged that the exit polls were part of a deliberate strategy to influence public perception in favour of the NDA.

“This is nothing but a well-planned ploy to apply pressure on the opposition and create an atmosphere in favour of the NDA. I categorically deny these exit polls. They released them within minutes of the last phase of voting. How can anyone draw conclusions even before voting is completed? These polls have no relevance,” Gagan said.

The RJD leader claimed the INDIA bloc had conducted its own assessments.

“We have conducted surveys at every booth, and based on this, the INDIA bloc is going to form the government at the Centre. In Bihar alone, we will have more than 24 seats,” he asserted.

RJD spokesperson considered the exit polls to be just entertainment:

Another RJD spokesperson, Mritunjay Tiwari, referred to the exit polls as mere entertainment for NDA supporters.

“These are exit polls, not the exact poll. NDA leaders should enjoy them for two days. When the real results come, the INDIA bloc will have the last laugh. We will win more than 295 Lok Sabha seats and form the government. There is no doubt about it,” Tiwari said.

The RJD spokesperson further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance record.

The people gave Narendra Modi 10 years. What had he done for the common man? Where are the Rs 15 lakh and 2 crore jobs he promised? On the other hand, our leader, Tejashwi Yadav, proved his commitment by giving more than 5 lakh jobs in Bihar during the 17-month Grand Alliance government. The INDIA bloc’s promise of Rs 1 lakh per annum for poor women and 1 crore jobs nationwide resonated with people,” he said.

NDA leader said, Exit Polls are reflections of ground reality:

On the other hand, NDA leaders expressed confidence that the exit polls reflect ground reality.

BJP OBC wing national general secretary Nikhil Anand said the survey clearly indicated a third term for PM Modi.

“With minor differences, all exit polls favour the NDA. Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time,” Anand said.

Regarding Bihar, he predicted an overwhelming NDA sweep.

“We are going to win all seats except one or two in the Seemanchal region,” he said.

When asked about the NDA’s confidence, Anand attributed it to strong support from key voter groups.

“EBC voters backed PM Modi. Women voters supported him in large numbers. His outreach to OBC and EBC communities, along with support from leaders like Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan, is strengthening the NDA. Tactically, the BJP is far ahead of the INDIA bloc on every issue in this election,” Anand added.
