Voters are showing enthusiasm at the polling centers in Sheohar.

Patna, May 25, 2024: Voting began at 7 am on Saturday across eight Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar under the sixth phase of polling, with voters showing enthusiasm at several polling stations despite the heat.

In Sheohar, long queues were seen at multiple booths as people turned out early to cast their votes.

The polling center in tight security for voters:

The administration has put in place tight security arrangements to ensure peaceful and fair polling.

According to the District Election Officer, 1,865 polling stations have been set up in the Sheohar Lok Sabha constituency. To maintain order, no candidate is allowed to set up a slip center within 200 meters of polling stations, and mobile phones are banned within a 100-meter radius.

The Election Commission is monitoring 120 polling stations through webcasting, while 84 booths have micro observers deployed. Videography arrangements have also been made at all model and women-managed polling stations.

The total number of voters:

A total of 18,25,237 voters, including men, women, and third-gender electors, are eligible to cast their votes in Sheohar.

The main contest in the constituency is between JD(U)’s Lovely Anand and RJD’s Ritu Jaiswal.
