Patna, May 8, 2024: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan on Wednesday took a swipe at the INDIA bloc and questioned the absence of senior Congress leaders from Bihar’s election campaign after three phases of polling were completed.
“PM Modi is continuously addressing rallies in Bihar and will also come to Patna for a roadshow on May 12. But where are the top leaders of the opposition alliance? Does Bihar not matter to them?” he asked.
Chirag Paswan further said that while the Prime Minister has shown consistent commitment to the state, the opposition has failed to connect with people.
“If the opposition leaders had paid as much attention to their candidates as they pay to our Prime Minister, perhaps their deposits would have been saved. If their national leaders had given even 10% of their time to Bihar, people here might have trusted them,” he said.
Chirag Paswan said Narendra Modi will become PM once again:
Chirag Paswan also hit back at the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav over his remarks that the NDA government would depart on June 4, saying that Narendra Modi would indeed go—but to take oath as Prime Minister for the third time.
Addressing reporters, Chirag Paswan said, “PM Modi is going to take oath for the third time after June 4, and if this is what Tejashwi calls going, then yes—he will go and take oath as Prime Minister again.”
Chirag Paswan says the opposition is making baseless allegations:
Criticizing the opposition for raising what he called baseless issues, the Hajipur candidate asserted that Modi’s return to power is certain.
“They talk about reservation, about the Constitution being in danger—but the public knows the truth. The Modi government has not done anything against reservation, nor is the Constitution in danger. The people understand everything. The only thing certain after June 4 is that Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time,” Paswan said.
Chirag Paswan, who is contesting from the Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency, has been actively campaigning across Bihar as part of the NDA alliance, projecting himself as a young leader loyal to Prime Minister Modi.
