Dilip Jaiswal criticized Tejashwi Yadav over his promise of Rs.2500 to attract women voters.

Patna December 24, 2024: BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal targeted Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition and a key figure in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), over his promise to provide Rs.2500 per month to women on Tuesday.
Dilip Jaiswal criticized Tejashwi Yadav for his Promises:
Dilip Jaiswal questioned the feasibility of Tejashwi’s promises, sarcastically asking whether the funds would come from Tejaswi’s personal sources, such as his father’s house.
“Where would he bring funds to provide Rs. 2500 per month to women? Will he bring it from his father’s house? His promise is similar to Bhupesh Baghel who made tall promises in Chhattisgarh but it did not translate into electoral success,” Jaiswal said.
He pointed to the perceived shortcomings of RJD’s governance under Lalu Prasad Yadav, particularly regarding the condition of women.
By drawing attention to RJD’s past, Dilip Jaiswal sought to discredit the party’s promises as hollow.
He emphasized the reliability of the BJP under Narendra Modi, claiming that Modi’s “guarantee” is trusted by the people.
Dilip Jaiswal used this opportunity to reinforce BJP’s image as a party that delivers on promises.
Dilip Jaiswal focusing on party expansion:
The criticism of Tejashwi Yadav was made during a Milan Samaroh event, where BJP inducted social worker Kunal Kishore into the party, showcasing its efforts to strengthen grassroots connections.
Tejashwi Yadav had promised 200 units of free electricity apart from Rs.2500 per month to every woman of the state under the proposed ‘Mai-Behan Maan Yojana’ if the Grand Alliance comes to power in 2025.
Tejaswi’s promise of monetary support to women and free electricity aligns with welfare-focused political strategies aimed at addressing economic challenges and attracting voters, particularly women.
The announcement reflects the competitive landscape in Bihar, where parties often highlight contrasting visions for development and governance.
