A 102 year old woman casted her vote in Aurangabad.

Patna April 19: Every vote has an importance in the democracy and a 102 year old elderly woman understood it. She casted her vote in Bihar Aurangabad district on Friday.

The elderly woman Jasia Devi is a native of Kushaha village under Madanpur block in the district. She reached the polling booth number 304 in the Kushaha village sitting on the shoulder of her great grandson Sahendra Yadav.

“I will vote as long as I live. I did the voting in the first Lok Sabha election as well,” Jasia Devi said.

The election commission of Bihar has given the facility of wheelchairs for the elderly persons. Jasia Devi, after reaching the polling booth, was given the wheel chair to cast her vote.

The election commission has formed 2040 polling booths in Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency including 1001 are located in Aurangabad district and remaining in Gaya district.
