RLM state president Ramesh Kushwaha and his wife joined JD-U in Patna.

Patna: Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) state president Ramesh Kushwaha and his wife Vijayalaxmi have joined Janata Dal United (JD-U) in Patna on Saturday.
RLM headed by Upendra Kushwaha is a part of NDA in Bihar. Ramesh Kushwaha resigned from the post of state president and primary membership of RLM and then joined JD-U. He was the JD-U MLA from ziradei assembly constituency in Bihar’s Siwan district from 2015 to 2020. In 2020, he joined Upendra Kushwaha’s Party.
Umesh Kushwaha, the state president of JD-U, in presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, cabinet minister Ashok Choudhary and other leaders, gave the membership certificates of the party to Ramesh Kushwaha and his wife Vijayalaxmi.
Sources have said that JD-U may give a ticket of Lok Sabha to Vijayalaxmi to contest the election from Siwan in 2024. At present, Kavita Singh, the wife of Bahubali leader Ajay Singh is the sitting MP of Siwan. The way Ramesh Kushwaha and his wife Vijayalaxmi joined the JD-U, the party may cut the ticket of sitting MP Kavita Singh in this election.
“Ramesh Kushwaha was the MLA of our party from Ziradei. He went to another party for some time but now returned to his old home. It is a Ghar Wapsi for him,” said Umesh Kushwaha.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, the parliamentary affairs minister in Bihar government said: “We have a goal to win all 40 seats of Bihar and formed the NDA government in the centre. Ramesh Kushwaha and his wife joined JD-U to strengthen the NDA. We have no intention to weaken our alliance partner RLM.”
