Patna, November 25, 2025: Since the formation of the new government in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been in full action mode, conducting continuous field inspections and reviewing development projects across the state.
In this sequence, on Tuesday, he carried out a surprise inspection of the Mandiri drain project in Patna.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the site without prior notice, accompanied by Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen, Patna District Magistrate Tragarajan S.M., Divisional Commissioner Chandrashekher Singh and many other officials.
Nitish Kumar expresses strong displeasure over slow progress:
Reviewing the sluggish pace of work, Kumar questioned the officials directly.
“I have come here several times. Why has the work still not been completed? You were here last time, too. Complete the work as soon as possible,” he said.

Nitish Kumar inspected the entire stretch of the Mandiri drain and took a detailed assessment of its progress.
Kumar instructed officials to expedite all pending work and ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe.
His series of on-ground inspections since the formation of the government reflects his zero-tolerance approach toward delays in development projects.
After the Mandiri drain project, Nitish Kumar inspected the construction work on the Rajiv Nagar underground drain.
During the inspection, he urged that the construction work be completed expeditiously.
He also inspected the construction of an underground drain and a four-lane road along the Serpentine Drain from Patel Golambar to the western end of Eco Park and from the eastern end of Eco Party to Atal Path.
Nitish Kumar inspected the Hajipur industrial area on Monday:
A day earlier, on Monday, Kumar had inspected various industrial units in the Hajipur Industrial Area.
He collected detailed information about the products being manufactured in different units and interacted with workers to understand the facilities and support being provided to them.

The Chief Minister held in-depth discussions with officials on ongoing production activities, possibilities for industrial expansion, employment generation opportunities, and areas requiring further support.
He issued necessary instructions to accelerate industrial development and ensure that maximum employment opportunities are created.
