1218 sub-inspectors pass out at Bihar police academy; Nitish Kumar congratulated the officers.

Patna, December 13, 2025: A grand passing-out parade was held on Saturday at the Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir, for 1218 trainee sub-inspectors of the 2023 batch, marking a significant milestone for the Bihar police.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the chief guest at the ceremony, reviewed the parade and congratulated the newly appointed officers, wishing them a successful and disciplined career in public service.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Choudhary, Water Resource Minister Vijay Choudhary and Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar were present on the dais during the ceremony.

Inclusive and historic batch of 2023 sub-inspectors:

This batch has created history with the participation of three transgender trainee sub-inspectors, Bunty Kumar, Madhu Kashyap, and Ronit Jha.

The batch includes 779 males, 436 females and 3 transgender sub-inspectors.

Additionally, 23 trainees were selected under the sports quota, while four trainees belong to the Jharkhand cadre.

Outstanding performers honored:

Trainee sub-inspectors who displayed exceptional performance during training were awarded special honours.

Ankit Kumar received the Chief Minister’s pistol and baton, Rupesh Kumar was awarded the sword, and Meena Kumari received the best parade commander award.

Addressing the trainee sub-inspectors, CM Nitish Kumar said that with the changing nature of crime, the responsibility of the police has increased significantly.

 In such times, a well-trained, disciplined, and sensitive police force is essential to meet society’s expectations,” he said.

Director of the Police Training Centre R. Malar Villi stated that the trainees underwent rigorous indoor and outdoor training using modern techniques to prepare them for field challenges.

With the completion of training, all 1,218 sub-inspectors will now join the Bihar police and take on law-and-order responsibilities.
