
Two died and 3 injured in an accident in Patna.
Patna July 5: In a fatal accident, two children died and three others were injured after a speeding car collided with two bikes near a village on the outskirts of Patna on Friday morning.
The accident occurred at 8:25 am on the Patna-Gaya four-lane road near an intersection connecting the Bihta-Sarmera road.
The car was traveling at 100 km/h when it partially hit a divider, causing the driver to lose control and crash into two bikes. The car eventually overturned on the road.
Local villagers quickly gathered and apprehended three women who were in the car. The driver was also nabbed by the police.
Situ Kumari, the SHO of Punpun police station said: “The vehicle was at high speed, and the driver lost control after partially crashing into the divider. The driver attempted to stay on the road but ended up crashing into two bikes.”
“One bike had three people, including two minor children as pillion riders, who lost their lives in the accident. The bike rider was also injured. Another bike on the road was also impacted, resulting in injuries. The car driver was injured in the mishap as well,” she said.
“We have admitted three injured persons to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), and family members have been informed about the accident,” she said.
Three women traveling in the car are safe. We have registered an FIR under relevant charges of rash and negligent driver against the errant driver,” Kumari added.
