Patna October 29, 2024: Union Minister Rajeev Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, sharply criticized opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav by challenging him to disclose the job figures from the tenure of his parents, former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.
Lalan Singh remarked, “I urge people to compare the employment opportunities generated during the 15-year tenure of the Lalu-Rabri government with the progress achieved under Nitish Kumar’s 20-year rule.” He added that Tejashwi Yadav has no response to this comparison, implying a significant gap in job creation between the two administrations.
Lalan Singh appreciated the jobs given during the NDA Government:
Lalan Singh’s comments came during his address as the chief guest at a job fair in Patna on Tuesday, where he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually distributed appointment letters to 51,000 young people across India. Out of these, Singh reported, 217 recipients are from Bihar.
During the event, Singh underscored PM Modi’s approach to employment, emphasizing that job creation should extend beyond government roles to include opportunities across multiple sectors. “Employment doesn’t only mean government jobs; it’s about creating avenues where the maximum number of people can find work,” he stated. He highlighted the government’s efforts to generate employment through various sectors, focusing on opportunities in start-ups, MSMEs and infrastructure development.
Lalan Singh advocated for the skill development:
Union Minister Rajeev Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, underscored the government’s commitment to generating employment opportunities through various sectors like startups, MSMEs, and infrastructure development, saying “Anything that creates job opportunities should be adopted.”
He highlighted that Kaushal Vikas Centres (Skill Development Centers) are equipping youth with skills that will enable them to secure employment domestically and internationally, supporting a skilled workforce that contributes to an “Atmanirbhar” (self-reliant) India.
Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, stating that Modi’s emphasis on diverse employment avenues will energize the country’s youth, paving the way for India to become a developed nation.
He noted that both PM Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are committed to action rather than rhetoric, with concrete job initiatives backing this philosophy.
In Bihar, this “double-engine government” has already appointed 2.25 lakh teachers and undertaken police recruitment. Singh contrasted this with opposition leaders who, according to him, make grand claims without delivering results. He further emphasized that this focus on tangible action, rather than mere words, is key to creating sustainable employment for Bihar’s future.
