In Patliputra and Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituencies, there are one-to-one contests between NDA and Grand Alliance On the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, the contest is between Ramkripal Yadav from BJP and Lalu Prasad’s daughter RJD candidate Misa Bharti of RJD.

In the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, there is a contest between Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP) from NDA and Congress candidate Anshul Avijit.

Ramkripal Yadav and Ravi Shankar Prasad won both these seats in 2019. Both are in the fray this time too. Patna Sahib is considered a safe seat for NDA but Patliputra has become a hot seat because Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti is contesting here against NDA.

Ramkripal Yadav is contesting for the third time to become an MP from the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha polls, he defeated Misa Bharti with the margins of just 39 thousand and 40 thousand votes. Misa Bharti is also in the fray for the third time despite facing defeat twice. She claims that this time her victory is certain. Now it remains to be seen who succeeds for the third time. Its decision will be taken on 4th June.
