Tejashwi Yadav vows to scrap Waqf Bill 2025 if Comes to Power.

Patna April 5, 2025: Amid Ongoing political controversy in Bihar over the Waqf Amendment Bill-2025, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led central government, asserting that if his party returns to power, the bill will not be implemented in the state.
“If our government comes to power in Bihar, we will not allow the Waqf Bill to be implemented. We will throw it in the dustbin,” Yadav said during a press briefing on Saturday. Yadav termed the bill
“Unconstitutional”, stating it violates Article 26 of the Indian Constitution, which guarantees every religious denomination the right to manage its own affairs in matters of religion.
Tejashwi Yadav alleged BJP is using Waqf Bill as a tool for communal polarization is trying to distract the public from pressing issues like unemployment, price rise, and migration. The BJP is baking their political bread by igniting communal issues. They are trying to divide the country and divert attention from real problems,” he said.
RSS’s Law, Not India’s Law:
Tejashwi Yadav went further to call both the BJP and RSS anti-Constitution, alleging that they aim to impose their ideology across the nation.
“The central government is consistently violating the Constitution. They are trying to implement the law of Nagpur (RSS headquarters), not the Constitution of India,” Yadav said.
“We do politics based on ideology, on principles of secularism and social justice. Whether in power or not, RJD has never compromised on its values,” Yadav said.
Attack on Nitish Kumar and SC challenge to Waqf Bill:
Tejashwi Yadav also slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him and his party of “selfish politics.”

“Now, no matter how many clarifications are given, people know the truth. The reality is out. Just like we are fighting for caste-based reservation, we have also filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Waqf Bill,” Yadav added.
Tejashwi Yadav concluded by alleging that the BJP’s broader political agenda is to disenfranchise Muslims, Dalits, and backward communities.
“They want to take these communities away from the mainstream. But we will not let that happen. Our fight will continue,” he declared.
Tejashwi Yadav’s strong stance adds fuel to an already intensifying political firestorm in Bihar, with JD(U) facing internal dissent and opposition parties sharpening their criticism ahead of the upcoming elections.
