Patna, October 8, 2025: Amid turmoil in the NDA over the seat-sharing, Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader, on Wednesday said that whether Jitan Ram Manjhi is upset or any other NDA ally is, it hardly matters because the real anger lies with the people of Bihar against the current government.

Tejashwi Yadav said, “This time, the people of Bihar want change. The public is disappointed with the government and is determined to elect a new government and build a new Bihar.”

Tejashwi Yadav reacted to Manjhi and Chirag expressing public displeasure over seat-sharing:

The comment of Tejashwi Yadav came amid growing friction within the NDA over seat distribution for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

Earlier, HAM patron and Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was firm on contesting 15 seats, expressing his dissatisfaction through social media.

In the 2020 Assembly elections, HAM had contested on seven seats and won 4 of them, including Imamganj, Barachatti, Tikari and Sikandara—making an impressive strike rate within the NDA.

Manjhi had demanded 40 seats initially but has scaled down to 15 seats.

The Grand Alliance likely to announce seat-sharing on Wednesday (Today):

Meanwhile, seat-sharing negotiations remain unresolved in both alliances.

The Grand Alliance, led by Tejashwi Yadav, is expected to announce its seat-sharing formula later today, while the NDA continues its internal discussions.

The opposition is keeping a close watch on the ongoing turmoil within the NDA, with multiple leaders, including Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi, publicly voicing their discontent over the seat allocation.
