Patna, April 17, 2024: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that no one would change the Constitution, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack, questioning why the PM was not taking action against the BJP leaders who frequently make statements about altering it.

“The Constitution is the biggest holy book of the country, yet BJP leaders are openly talking about destroying it. Shockingly, instead of taking action against them, PM Modi is campaigning for them,” Tejashwi Yadav said.

He added, “Anyone who talks about changing the Constitution is essentially trying to snatch away your rights. Without it, people will lose access to welfare schemes, jobs, and scholarships. The BJP’s intentions are not right.”

Tejashwi Yadav criticized the BJP on inflation and unemployment:

Tejashwi Yadav accused the BJP of fueling inflation, unemployment, and poverty over the last decade.

“Now they want to change the Constitution. If they return to power, it will be the end of people’s rights. To save the Constitution, the BJP must be defeated,” he asserted.

Manoj Jha criticized Mohan Bhagwat:

RJD Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha echoed these concerns, reminding people of past statements from the Sangh leadership.

“In 2015, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat called for a review of the Constitution and changes in reservations. Our party president Lalu Prasad Yadav had then warned the nation about the agenda outlined in the book Bunch of Thoughts,” Jha said.

“Today, the same threat looms again. BJP leaders continue to say they will change the Constitution if they win in 2024. The Constitution, written by Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, grants rights to every citizen, especially the poor, backward, Dalit, EBC, and tribal communities. They want to take away these rights,” Jha added.
