Patna, September 2: Tejashwi Yadav, the former deputy chief minister of Bihar, criticized Narayan Rane’s son and BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, describing him as a person who is spewing venom against fellow countrymen.

Yadav further said that he is the son of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s favorite colleague, BJP MP Narayan Rane.

“This BJP MLA (Nitesh Rane) is threatening to kill people by breaking into mosques, flouting the constitution and law. When PM Narendra Modi visits Gulf countries, he offers prayers and visits mosques. He speaks of peace and harmony, referencing Gandhi and Buddha abroad but gives shelter, credit and love to those who incite violence in his own country and threaten to kill his own people in BJP-ruled states,” Yadav said.

Tejashwi Yadav accused the Prime Minister of maintaining double standards in the country.

“Is this not the double standard of the Prime Minister? Will the Prime Minister forgive him wholeheartedly or will he reward him by giving him a BJP ticket?” Yadav taunted.

Tejashwi Yadav has strongly condemned the BJP, accusing the party of deliberately targeting Muslims and spreading hatred within society. He argued that the BJP along with its ideological affiliate, the RSS is involved in a conspiracy to create confusion and divide the community through what he called “sponsored agents.

“This NDA government under the leadership of BJP is extremely harmful and dangerous for the country, constitution, equality and harmony,” he said.

Earlier on Sunday, Nitesh Rane, a BJP MLA from Maharashtra, during the rally in Ahmednagar allegedly said to invade a mosque and kill Muslims, expressing support for Ramgiri Maharaj, a seer who had previously delivered a defamatory speech against Prophet Mohammad in August.

Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism reflects deep concern over the increasing communal rhetoric and the impact it has on social cohesion in India. He portrayed the actions and statements of BJP leaders like Rane as part of a broader, more dangerous agenda that threatens the very fabric of the nation, including its constitutional and principle of equality and harmony.

This incident has intensified the debate over religious tolerance and the role of political leaders in either promoting or mitigating communal tensions in the country.

On the one hand, through its organization and public representatives, the BJP targets Muslims by spreading hatred in society, while on the other hand, the BJP/RSS hatches a conspiracy to spread confusion and divide society through its sponsored agents. The Central government under the leadership of BJP is extremely harmful and dangerous for the country, constitution, equality and harmony,” Yadav said.
