Tejashwi Yadav retaliated to Pime Minister Narendra Modi with the Raj Dharma statement of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Patna May 5: A day after PM Narendra Modi targeted Lalu Prasad Yadav over the Godhara incident, former deputy chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav retaliated to him with the Raj Dharma statement of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Sunday.
When the Godhra incident took place, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had told him (Then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi) to follow Raj Dharma. PM Narendra Modi should at least listen to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, if not our words,” Yadav said.
Earlier on Saturday, PM Narendra Modi sharply attacked Lalu Prasad Yadav on the Godhara incident.
“When Kar Sevaks were burnt alive in Godhra, Shehzade’s (Tejashwi Yadav) father (Lalu Prasad Yadav) was the Union Railway Minister. He is serving a jail term in a fodder scam these days and is on bail. He formed the Banerjee Committee (UC Banerjee Commission). That committee had prepared such a report that the accused got off easily. The whole world knew that Kar Sevaks were burnt alive and the Railway Minister conspired to blame them but did not succeed. The court hanged the culprits. This is their history and truth,” PM Modi said on Saturday.
“When that report went to the court, it was thrown in the garbage,” he said.
Responding to the Shehzada comment, Tejashwi Yadav said: “He is a Peerzada (elderly person) and that is why he is calling me Shehzada. He is a Prime Minister and he can say anything for small people like us. This is his right but he lies a lot. The land of Mithila is the land of enlightened people. They were expecting good things from him. They didn’t want to listen to any nonsense. When he came to Darbhanga, he should have gone to see AIIMS. He also said that PM Narendra Modi campaigned for the alleged rapist who exploited 3000 women.
Tejashwi Yadav also took a dig at CM Nitish Kumar after the parole given to Bahubali leader Anant Singh.
“Anant Singh was a criminal when he was with us and now became a saint after he went with JD-U,” Yadav said.
Anant Singh was given the parole of 15 days following approval of the home ministry of Bihar. He is an influential leader having a good stronghold in the Mokama region in Munger Lok Sabha constituency. His wife Neelam Devi is campaigning for Lalan Singh, the JD-U candidate of Munger.
