Tejashwi Yadav retaliated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Raj Dharma statement of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Patna, May 5, 2024: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav over the Godhara incident, former deputy chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hit back on Sunday, invoking former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s “Raj Dharma” remark.

“When the Godhara incident took place, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had told him (then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi) to follow Raj Dharma. PM Modi should at least listen to Atal Bihari Vajpayee if not our words,” Tejashwi said.

Tejashwi Yadav retaliated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi:

PM Modi, addressing a rally on Saturday, had accused Lalu Prasad Yadav of shielding the culprits of the 2002 Godhra incident. “When Kar Sevaks was burnt alive in Godhra, Shehzade’s father was the Union Railway Minister. He formed the Banerjee Committee, which prepared such a report that the accused got off easily. The whole world knew what happened, yet he tried to blame the victims,” Modi had said.

Responding to the “Shahzada” jibe, Tejashwi quipped, “He is a Peerzada (elderly person), so he calls me Shehzada. He is the Prime Minister, he can say anything about small people like us—but he lies a lot.”

Tejashwi added that the people of Mithila expected better from Modi.

“When he came to Darbhanga, he should have gone to see AIIMS. Instead, he campaigned for an alleged rapist who exploited 3,000 women,” he alleged.

Tejashwi Yadav criticized Nitish Kumar over Anant Singh’s parole:

Taking a swipe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the parole granted to strongman Anant Singh, Tejashwi remarked, “Anant Singh was a criminal when he was with us, and now he has become a saint after joining JD-U.”

Anant Singh, a heavyweight from the Mokama region of Munger Lok Sabha constituency, has been granted a 15-day parole by the Bihar Home Department. His wife Neelam Devi is currently campaigning for JD-U candidate Lalan Singh in Munger.
