Patna, July 16, 2024: Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader, raised serious concerns about the law and order situation of Bihar following the murder of Jitan Sahani in Darbhanga on Tuesday.

Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Bihar government:

Tejashwi Yadav slammed the Nitish Kumar government for the poor state of law and order in Bihar.

He expressed concern over the escalating violence in the state.

“Terrorism has been established in the state. I am saying continuously that in the double-engine powered government of Bihar, the morale of the power-supported, power-protected and power-sponsored government criminals has increased so much that they can kill anyone whenever they want, wherever they want, however they want, in any way,” Yadav said.

“Instead of accepting the truth, the NDA government keeps repeating the same clichéd dialogue that there is a rule of good governance while hundreds of people are dying untimely in criminal incidents every day. We even issued crime bulletins, but the arrogant government does not care. If tired leaders and retired officers handle the law and order of the state, then this will be the fate,” Yadav said.

“I am shocked and saddened to hear the brutal murder of Jitan Sahani, the father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief and my elder brother Mukesh Sahni,” Yadav said.

Tejashwi Yadav consoles the victim’s family:

He expressed deep condolences to the deceased’s family.

“I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. I pray to God to give the family the strength to bear the grief in this hour of sorrow and peace to the departed soul,” Yadav said.

The remark of Tejashwi Yadav reflects his frustration with the government’s handling of crime and its apparent disconnect from the reality of the situation on the ground.

Mukesh Sahani has an ancestral house in Afzala Panchayat under Birol police station in Darbhanga district, and Jitan Sahani was staying in it.

The Darbhanga police registered an FIR at the Birol police station, and two suspects have been detained so far.
