Patna, September 18, 2025: In a major election promise, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday announced that every youth in Bihar holding an educational certificate will be given a job if his party comes to power.

Addressing a public rally in Khagaria, he coined the slogan “Certificate lawo, Naukari Pawo” (Bring the certificate, get the job).

Tejashwi Yadav targeted Nitish Kumar:

Attacking Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Yadav said the current government was fake and merely copied his ideas.

“Whatever I announce, they endorse. I had promised 200 units of free electricity, but they are now giving 125 units. I proposed a social security pension; they raised it from Rs. 400 to Rs. 1,100. Why didn’t they do this in the last 20 years?” he asked.

Tejashwi Yadav highlighted his short tenure as Deputy CM, claiming that during those 17 months, over 5 lakh jobs were provided and 3.5 lakh additional jobs created.

“This government has only copied that initiative. They can copy my ideas, but they will never have my vision,” he asserted.

Tejashwi Yadav’s appeal:

Making a direct appeal to voters, Yadav said, “You have given 20 years to Nitish Kumar and 11 years to Narendra Modi. Give me just five years, and I assure you, every youth with a certificate will get a job.”

With employment a central issue in Bihar, Yadav’s announcement marks his most ambitious promise yet ahead of the 2025 Assembly polls, setting the stage for a fierce battle with the ruling NDA.
