Tejashwi Yadav mocked Nitish Kumar for his remark on mobile phones destroying earth in 10 years.

Patna March 20, 2025: A political storm erupted after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar claimed that the use of mobile phones would lead to the destruction of Earth in 10 years.

Tejashwi Yadav’s sharp reaction:

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav strongly criticized Nitish Kumar, calling him anti-technology, anti-youth, and conservative.

“Bihar Assembly is going paperless, and members are expected to ask questions online. If an MLA has to ask a supplementary question, they will have to refer to a mobile or tablet. But Bihar has a computer-illiterate Chief Minister who has problems with technology,” Yadav said.

“It is unfortunate that Bihar is being governed by such an age-old, backward-thinking leader,” he said.

What sparked the controversy?:

During the question hour in the Bihar assembly on Thursday, RJD MLA Suday Yadav was using a mobile phone while asking a question related to PDS dealers.

CM Nitish Kumar objected strongly and asked Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav to expel any MLA carrying a mobile phone in the house.

He further claimed that if this continues, “the world will be destroyed in 10 years.”

Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks have escalated the tension between the ruling alliance and the opposition. The debate over technology, governance, and Nitish Kumar’s leadership is intensifying ahead of the upcoming elections
