Patna, August 7, 2025: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav departed for Delhi on Thursday to attend a crucial meeting of the INDIA Alliance, a coalition of opposition parties gearing up for the upcoming elections.

Speaking to reporters at the Patna airport before his departure, Yadav confirmed his participation in the meeting and also mentioned that he would be celebrating Rakshabandhan with his sister, who resides in Delhi.

Tejashwi Yadav criticized PM Modi:

During his interaction with the media, Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of maintaining silence on pressing international and economic issues.

“The President of America has increased tariffs by 50%, causing massive losses to India, yet the Indian Prime Minister remains silent,” Yadav said.

“President Trump has claimed 28 times that he brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, but Prime Minister Modi has not clarified even once. These are the same people who come to Bihar and call themselves ‘Vishwaguru’. This tells you how the country is being run.”

On Election Commission notice:

Tejashwi Yadav also addressed the recent controversy over multiple EPIC numbers and reports that he received a notice from the Election Commission.

“We haven’t received any notice from the Election Commission directly. The notice has come from the sub-divisional officer’s level, and we are responding to it, he clarified.

“Now, who issued two EPIC numbers? The same people who created this mess are now asking us for explanations. We are being us for explanations. We are being questioned for someone else’s mistake,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Bihar, where opposition leaders have been alleging irregularities in the voter list revision process under the Survey of India Registry (SIR).
