Patna, October 26, 2025: Amidst the charged political atmosphere in Bihar, Grand Alliance Chief Ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the NDA government, questioning its unfulfilled promises and unveiling a series of new welfare commitments aimed at rural and grassroots communities.

Addressing the media persons in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav said, “Whatever we promised in the past, we have delivered. I want to ask the BJP leaders—what happened to the promise of 2 crore jobs per year? Where is the Rs 15 lakh they talked about? What was achieved through demonetization? How much black money came back? What happened to Start-up India and Skill India? And most importantly, who is the NDA chief Ministerial face in Bihar?”

Accusing the government of corruption and inaction, Tejashwi Yadav declared that the people of Bihar were fully prepared to bring about change.”

Tejashwi Yadav’s announcements for rural and grassroots voters:

In an attempt to connect with key sections of society, Tejashwi Yadav announced several welfare measures that his party would implement if voted to power.

He promised that three-tier Panchayat representatives and village-level workers—whom he calls the backbone of rural Bihar—would be given pensions and a Rs 50 lakh insurance cover to ensure financial security for their families in case of accidents or untoward incidents during service.

Tejashwi Yadav also made a significant announcement for Public Distribution System (PDS) shopkeepers, promising a fixed honorarium and an increase in margin money per quintal to improve their financial condition.

Additionally, he vowed to abolish the 58-year age limit for PDS personnel.

“As long as a person is capable of working, they should be allowed to continue,” he said.

Continuing his focus on economic empowerment, Tejashwi announced interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh for traditional artisans such as carpenters, potters, barbers, and blacksmiths who hold ration cards.

He said the initiative would help artisans restart or expand their businesses.

“Under an RJD government, the respect and self-respect of these artisans will be our top priority,” he said.

Joint campaign with Rahul Gandhi on the cards:

Tejashwi Yadav also hinted at a joint campaign with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Rahul Gandhi is coming with us; we will share the stage and usher in a new era of change in Bihar.”

He asserted that the people of Bihar had decided to remove the corrupt and inactive government and elect one that represents the youth, farmers, and the poor.

He also urged the media to play a constructive role, saying, You people should change your perspective and convey the truth to the public. The people of Bihar are angry—a wave of change is sweeping across the state.”

Tejashwi Yadav’s fresh set of promises and sharp criticism of the NDA have stirred the political landscape in Bihar.

His supporters have termed it a resolution for change, while analysts say the RJD leader has strategically shifted focus to rural Bihar, targeting panchayat workers, PDS shopkeepers, and traditional artisans—groups that play a decisive role in the state politics.
