Patna, October 15, 2025: Leader of Opposition and RJD chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav filed his nomination paper from Raghopur on Tuesday for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, amid a massive roadshow attended by thousands of supporters.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former CM Rabri Devi, Lok Sabha MP Misa Bharti, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav accompanied Tejashwi Yadav during the nomination.

Ahead of filing his papers, Tejashwi Yadav led a grand road show through Raghopur, calling it a march of change.

He said, The people of Raghopur have trusted me twice. This is my third time, and I am confident they will trust me again. Bihar today wants change, and this time, change is certain. No family will be left without a government job.”

Tejashwi Yadav criticized JDU leaders:

Taking aim at the ruling NDA, Tejashwi accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of losing control over his party.

“The JDU is now being run by Lalan Singh, Sanjay Jha and Vijay Choudhary. They have sold out to the BJP and destroyed the JDU,” he said.

Later, in a Facebook post, Tejashwi Yadav described his nomination as historic and symbolic of Bihar’s collective desire for progress.

Tejashwi Yadav highlighted his earlier promises:

He reiterated his key promises, including a government job in every family, Rs 2500 monthly support for women, 200 units of free electricity per household, LPG cylinder for Rs 500, industries and employment opportunities in Bihar, improved healthcare and education system, and increased pensions for the elderly and disabled.

Tejashwi Yadav declared, “This nomination is not just for Tejashwi, but for change across Bihar. CM of Bihar means maker of Bihar.”

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also filed his nomination from Lakhisarai, accompanied by Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary.

Sinha also held a roadshow in an open jeep following his nomination.

Tejashwi’s brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, who was scheduled to file his nomination from Mahua on Tuesday, will now do so on October 16 as a Janshakti Janata Dal candidate.

As Bihar heads toward polls on November 6 and 11, the stage is set for a high-decibel battle between the ruling NDA and the Grand Alliance, led by Tejashwi Yadav.
