Tejashwi Yadav criticized leaders of JD (U) for making divisive remarks.
Patna, August 31: Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in Bihar assembly, has criticized the Nitish Kumar-led government, accusing its ministers are making divisive statements targeting specific caste.
Yadav stated, “JD (U) has a character to spread radical frenzy in society. Its top leaders encourage their subordinates to make objectionable comments. We are positive people, while they are negative. In a democracy, if someone does not vote for a particular party or leader, it does not mean they should be humiliated,” Yadav said.
He also pointed out that Instead of focusing on the employment opportunities available to people from the Bhumihar community, JD (U) leaders are unfairly accusing them of not voting for their party.
“Why are Ashok Choudhary and other ministers of the Bihar government not focusing on how many people from the Bhumihar community are unemployed? Rather than discussing how they could provide jobs to Bhumihar, backward caste, Muslim and deprived sections of people of society, they are blaming them for not voting for their party and subsequently humiliating them,” Yadav said.
Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism was in response to comments made by Ashok Choudhary at a public meeting in Bihar’s Jahanabad district, where he claimed that Bhumihar caste did not vote for JD (U) candidate Chandeshwar Prasad Chandravansi, leading to his loss in the Lok Sabha election.
Ashok Choudhary is a Dalit leader of JD (U) and in-change of the Katihar Lok Sabha constituency during the election.
Tejashwi Yadav also criticized Sitamarhi MP Devesh Chandra Thakur for his controversial statements on Yadavs, Kushwahas and Muslims.
“They just want to stay in power. They do not care about the development of people who are at the bottom of society,” he remarked.
Apart from Tejashwi Yadav, the leaders of JD (U) even criticized Ashok Choudhary for his controversial statement.
JD (U) MLC Neeraj Kumar, Parbatta MLA Dr Sanjeev Kumar and others have criticized Ashok Choudhary.
Neeraj Kumar said the statement of Choudhary is unacceptable. He also advised him to refrain from making statements that single out specific castes.

“Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has never mentioned a particular caste throughout his long political career, which has spanned over 18 years as a CM. He was also the Union minister for many years. Nitish Kumar’s sustained success is a result of his work and the support he garnered from the people due to his performance, not by appealing to caste-based sentiments,” Kumar said.
