Patna, May 19, 2024: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday claimed that the INDIA bloc will win more than 300 Lok Sabha seats and form the government at the Centre. He also asserted that the NDA will face a whitewash in Bihar and manage to win only 35 to 40 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

The former Deputy Chief Minister, who has been actively campaigning along with Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) Chief Mukesh Sahani, made the remarks in a video shared on his official X handle. The two leaders have been conducting joint helicopter campaigns across Bihar and frequently release videos from the campaign trail00sometimes sharing lighthearted moments like eating fish or an orange to connect with the public.
In the latest video, Tejashwi claimed that public sentiment across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and other states is decisively in favor of the INDIA bloc.
“BJP will be wiped out in Bihar and reduced to half in Uttar Pradesh. The INDIA alliance will get more than 300 seats—maybe 325 or even 330. The mood of the nation is clear,” Tejashwi said.
Tejashwi Yadav targeted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he alleged that the public is tired of the BJP’s “repetitive speeches and hollow promises.”
“The people are bored with the Prime Minister’s same old speeches. They no longer want the politics of hatred,” he said.
Tejashwi also highlighted the enthusiasm among women and youth voters, claiming that the efforts of the Grand Alliance government during its 17-month tenure—especially in providing jobs—have boosted public trust.
He further stated that he and Mukesh Sahani have addressed more than 180 public meetings ahead of the fifth phase of polling in Bihar.
