Patna, May 1, 2024: RJD leader Tejsahwi Yadav on Wednesday took a sharp jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the party should now invite former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to campaign in Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav says the BJP are not calling USA President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the election campaign:

“Why are they not calling former USA President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the election campaign? It may help them,” Tejashwi Yadav said while talking to reporters in Patna.

Yadav accused the BJP of adopting “dictatorial tactics” by allegedly ensuring the cancellation of nomination of opposition candidates across several constituencies.

“The BJP has opted for dictatorship in the country. Whether it is Surat, Indore or many other places in Uttar Pradesh—opposition nominations are being canceled to make BJP candidates win. If this is not dictatorship, then what is it?” he said.

The RJD leader attacked the BJP:

The RJD leader also attacked the BJP over its stand on reservation and social justice, alleging that the party was contradicting the ideals of Karpoori Thakur, who was recently, conferred the Bharat Ratna.

“Whatever PM Narendra Modi says about reservation is false. Karpoori Thakur gave reservations to backward casts in Bihar. They gave him the Bharat Ratna but are opposing his principles,” Yadav said.

Top BJP leaders, including JP Nadda and Rajnath Singh, have been visiting Bihar regularly as part of the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaign.
