Patna, July 30, 2025: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday announced that the INDIA bloc will launch a massive campaign across all nine divisions of Bihar after Raksha Bandhan, with participation from top national leaders, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and leaders of left parties.

The decision was taken during a coordination committee meeting of the Grand Alliance held at Tejashwi Yadav’s official residence in Patna.

“We will jointly campaign in all nine divisions of Bihar and hold a rally in each division. National-level leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and others from left parties, will join me. The route and schedule will be finalized soon,” Tejashwi told media persons.

Tejashwi Yadav said August is the month of Kranti:

Emphasizing the timing, Tejashwi Yadav said, “August is the month of Kranti (revolution), and this time, we will do the Kranti in Bihar.”

He said the INDIA bloc’s rallies will highlight pressing issues such as Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list and the CAG report alleging misappropriation of Rs 80,000 crore by the Bihar government, apart from allegations of voter list and the Election Commission.

Tejashwi Yadav attacks Nitish government over CAG report:

Citing the CAG report, Yadav said, “The Bihar government has failed to submit utilization certificates for Rs 80,000 crore. There is no official record of where or how this public money was spent.”

He added, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar often claims there is not a single rupee of corruption in his government. If that’s true, why hasn’t submitted the utilization certificates to the CAG?”

Will Amit Shah answer?

With Union Home Minister Amit Shah scheduled to visit Bihar’s Sitamarhi district, Tejashwi Yadav asked, “Will he raise these questions with the Nitish-BJP government or provide an explanation for this deep corruption?”

Tejashwi Yadav also lashed out at the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar, citing bizarre instances of voter list Manipulation. “Residential certificates have been issued in the name of ‘Dog Babu,’ and tractors like ‘Sonalika’ were issued with the photograph of Bhojpuri actress Monalisa.

Earlier, the certificate of Sunny Leone was issued as well. What kind of administration is this?” he questioned.

Congress joins the offensive:

Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram backed Tejashwi Yadav’s allegations and said every Grand Alliance leader would reach out to voters during the SIR process.

“We will make the public aware of the voter revision process and ask them to appeal to the Election Commission if their names are missing. We’ll also question the government on the Rs 80,000 crore scam mentioned in the CAG report,” Ram said.

He added, “They once targeted Lalu Prasad Yadav over corruption. Now it’s their turn to explain where Rs 80,000 crore of public funds have gone.”
