Tejashwi Yadav alleged BJP leaders attempting to breach peace in West Bengal.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged BJP leaders attempting to breach peace in West Bengal.

Patna, August 29: Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly alleged that the members of the BJP are allegedly provoking the citizens of West Bengal and attempting to breach the peace of the state.

“The people connected to BJP are allegedly involved in hooliganism and looting the shops in West Bengal. They are continuously provoking people. Despite their acts, the people of West Bengal or any other state would not come under their influence,” Tejashwi Yadav said while interacting with the media persons in Patna on Thursday.

The statement of Tejashwi Yadav came after BJP leaders like Giriraj Singh, Rituraj Sinha and others leaders sharply attacked Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal over rising incidents of violence, particularly after the brutal incident with a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Kolkata.

Earlier in the day, Giriraj Singh compared Mamata Banerjee with North Korean President Kim Jong Un.

Tejashwi Yadav further said the crimes against women (Rape) are highest in the BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh.

“The crime against women in the BJP-ruled states are highest compared to non-BJP-ruled states. Such incidents are continuously taking place in Bihar. Why they are silent on it? The people of the BJP are trying to create panic but I tell you that they will remain unsuccessful,” Yadav said.

Reacting to the transfer of Bihar DGP Rajvinder Singh Bhatti, Tejashwi Yadav said honest officers do not want to stay here in Bihar.

“The tenure of RS Bhatti remained in Bihar and the position of state DGP is considered more powerful than the DG of CISF. So, anyone who wants to become a DGP generally prefers to stay in the state. Bhatti was on central deputation in the past, yet he came to Bihar to improve the law and order of the state but the atmosphere of Bihar is such that some IAS officers sitting on the top posts want to suppress IPS officers,” Yadav alleged.

He further alleged the current government for allegedly involved in corruption in the transfer and posting of officers.

“In the Nitish Kumar government, the transfer-posting takes place through auction. Those who make the highest bid, the current government gives them good posting. There is an open auction happening in Bihar, and everyone knows about it. Hence, good officers do not want to stay here in Bihar. The top IAS officials in the current government put pressure on those who do their job fairly,” Yadav said.
