Tej Pratap Yadav will launch ‘Janata Darbar’ for direct public engagement ahead of Bihar poll 2025.

Patna, June 26, 2025: In a significant political move ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, has announced the launch of a ‘Janata Darbar’ at his official residence in Patna.
The initiative aims to offer direct communication with the public and address their grievances on a daily basis.
Taking to social media, Tej Pratap wrote: “Janata Ka Darbar, direct solution to public problems, among you, ready to become your voice. Let’s create a new chapter of Bihar together. Always with you, always with Bihar. From Monday, June 30, Janata Darbar will be held from 6 to 8 PM from my residence at 26 M Strand Road.”
The Janata Darbar will be held every evening from 6 to 8 PM at his residence, where he will personally interact with citizens and ensure swift action on their concerns.
Post-RJD fallout: A Political Reboot for Tej Pratap Yadav:
This announcement comes just a day after Tej Pratap Yadav’s video call with Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, during which the two leaders discussed political strategies and personal well-being.
The timing has sparked speculation of Tej Pratap aligning with SP, especially after he was expelled from both the RJD and his family for six years following a controversial personal disclosure.

Political observers view this as a critical turning point in Tej Pratap’s career, with growing indicators that he may contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections on an SP ticket.
Akhilesh Yadav’s open support is being seen as a potential political revival plan for Tej Pratap.
Youth-centric strategy:
Sources close to his camp indicate that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to establish ground-level connections, particularly targeting young and first-time voters.
By positioning himself as a grassroots leader, Tej Pratap aims to reshape his image from a sidelined figure to a responsive, independent voice in Bihar politics.
RJD’s mixed signals and public engagement push:
Interestingly, RJD workers—despite the leadership’s official distancing—have been informally encouraged to participate in the Janata Darbar, highlighting local issues and facilitating crowd mobilization.
