Patna, July 31, 2025: Former Bihar environment Forest, and Climate Change Minister and Tej Pratap Yadav visited his old constituency, Mahua, on Thursday, triggering strong political buzz about his return to local politics ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
Tej Pratap Yadav, who was elected MLA from Mahua in 2015 on an RJD ticket and later became the Health Minister, began his visit by bowing to the land of Mahua—a symbolic act that drew emotional responses from local supporters.
Tej Pratap Yadav, also worshipped at the Radha Bihari Gajendra Temple before launching into a series of public dialogue (Jan Samvad) programs at seven locations across the constituency.
He warm reception from enthusiastic supporters and local party workers, reflecting a clear attempt at rebuilding his grassroots connection.

Tej Pratap had distanced himself from both the RJD and his family following the much-publicized Anushka Yadav episode and internal family disputes.

Though he hasn’t clarified the target of the remark, it is being interpreted as a veiled attack on perceived betrayal, possibly from within his previous party, RJD.

The visit is being viewed as Tej Pratap’s formal re-entry into Mahua’s political landscape, potentially setting the stage for an independent contest in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
He is currently an MLA of Hasanpur Assembly constituency in Samastipur district.
