Patna, October 28, 2025: Tej Pratap Yadav, the former environment, forest and climate change minister in the Grand Alliance government, launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, asserting that neither of them can be considered a Jan Nayak (People’s leader).
“The real Jan Nayaks were Karpoori Thakur, Ra Manohar Lohia, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi or Tejashwi Yadav cannot be Jan Nayak. They are under the blessings of my father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. If he removes his hand from their heads, they will become zero,” Tej Pratap said while interacting with the media persons at Patna airport.
He further stated, “I will acknowledge Tejashwi Yadav only if he achieves something on his own. Right now, all his success is because of my father. I am contesting elections independently without my father’s support. If Tejashwi does the same and achieves something, I will appreciate him.”
