South Africa beat the USA by 18 runs in the Super 8 T20 World Cup
Antigua June 20: Despite the herculean efforts of Andries Gous (80*) and Harmeet Singh (38) the USA lost the Super 8 encounter against South Africa by 18 runs in Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound in Antigua on Wednesday.
Gous was looking on ominous touch and has played 80 runs in just 47 deliveries with 5 fours and 5 sixes.
While chasing 195, the USA started well. The openers Stevan Taylor and Andries Gous scored at a brisk pace. They scored 33 in just 3.3 overs but then the wicket of Taylor fell. He was caught by H Klaasen on the bowling of Kagiso Rabada.
