Patna, September 21, 2024: Siddhant Raj, a mechanical engineer, who lost his job during Covid-19, has now become a successful businessman in Bihar’s West Champaran district.
The success story of Siddhant Raj is now inspiring many other people to establish their own industrial units in Bihar.
Siddhant Rai, a native of Bhairoganj village under the Bagaha subdivision, has in the last three years reached a position where he is not only earning handsome money but also providing jobs to others. His brand Nadda Agro Enterprises is gaining popularity in Bihar and its products are also available on the digital marketing platform Flip cart and it will soon be available on Amazon as well.
“I lost my job just two months after the pandemic started in the country in 2020. Hence, I returned to my native place in Bagaha in the West Champaran district. I finally decided to establish my own industrial unit in 2021 and now producing 1900 liters of mustard oil per month,” Raj said.
“It was a tough situation for me when I lost my job. During COVID-19, the central government had brought many loan schemes for the startup. I applied for a loan and the bank sanctioned me a Rs 10 lakh loan,” Raj said.
“After the loan was sanctioned I established a mustard oil facility in my native village in Bagaha subdivision and currently 8 workers are working in it. We generally purchase mustard from the local farmers for the production of oil. Suppose, I purchase 100 kg mustard, the production of oil is around 38 to 40 kg depending on the quality of mustard,” he said.
This business is turning out profitable for micro industrialists like Siddhant Raj having an annual turnover is around Rs 12 lakh.
