School holidays up to class 8th extended by two days
Patna June 17: Keeping in view of unbearable conditions due to scorching heat and high humidity, Patna district magistrate Shirsat Kapil Ashok directed all schools up to class 8th to remain closed till June 19. The summer holidays of all the schools were ended on June 17.
The court of Patna district magistrate has ordered following the alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department.
The met department has predicted severe heat waves with high humidity in the Patna district for the next 72 hours. The maximum temperature in Patna will be expected between 44 to 46 degrees Celsius for the next three days.
Due to this, the health and life of the students studying in the schools are likely to be adversely affected.
In such a situation, educational activities up to class 8 have been banned in all government and private schools of Patna district. During this time, teachers and non-teaching staff of the schools will be present in the school. This order will come into effect from June 18 and will remain effective till June 19.
Keeping in mind the alert of the Meteorological Department, the district administration has banned the operation of classes up to 8th in all schools till June 19.
