Sanjay Jha welcomes the Bihar Assembly polls in a 2-phase.

Patna, October 6, 2025: The JDU working president, Sanjay Jha, welcomed the announcement of the 2025 Bihar Assembly election dates announced by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Monday.

The voting will take place on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14. Sanjay Jha said the elections would not only determine the next five-year government but also the direction of Bihar’s development for the next 25 years.”

He emphasized that in this election, people will vote for the establishment of industries in every district, self-employment for over 2 crore women, jobs for 1 crore youth, continuation of 125 units of free electricity for nearly 2 crore consumers and respect for farmers, women, and the elderly.

Sanjay Jha highlighted the ongoing infrastructure projects of Bihar:  

Sanjay Jha highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects worth Rs 1.84 lakh crore, including expressways and highways, stating that voters will support completing these works within five years to make every corner of Bihar accessible from Patna within 3.5 hours.

Expressing confidence in the public mood, Sanjay Jha said, “People across Bihar are enthusiastic about a double-engine government. I am certain the NDA will return to power with a resounding majority under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Bihar will join the top 10 developed states in the country within the next five years.”

HAM leader expresses confidence in winning the upcoming polls:

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) National President Santosh Kumar Suman also welcomed the election scheduled, saying the NDA would contest with full strength.

He said under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has witnessed visible development in roads, electricity, education, health, and employment.

“The people of Bihar will vote for development and stability. The NDA will win a landslide victory in at least 200 seats,” Suman said.

“Under PM Modi’s leadership, Bihar has moved past the era of jungle raj and entered a new phase of growth and good governance.”

The Bihar Assembly election will be held in two phases—on November 6 and November 11.

In the first phase, voting will take place on 121 assembly seats across districts, including Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Begusarai, Madhepura, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Samastipur, and Vaishal.

In the second phase, polling will be conducted on 122 seats in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnea, Araria, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Rohtas, Kaimur, Nawada, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jehanabad and Arwal.
