Sanjay Jha criticized the Tejashwi Yadav for putting question mark on Nitish Kumar’s Yatra kicking from December 15.

Patna December 5, 2024: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha criticized Tejashwi Yadav for raising questions on the upcoming Mahila Samvad Yatra of Nitish Kumar.

The Mahila Samvad Yatra planned by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from December 15, 2024, has sparked a political clash, with opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav criticizing its high budget of Rs.225 crore and questioning its purpose.

Sanjay Jha sharply rebutted Tejashwi Yadav:

This has led to a sharp rebuttal from the JDU, particularly its acting national president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha.

Tejashwi called the allocated RS.225 crore for the Yatra a “loot,” and questioning the justification of such a large expenditure for the Chief Minister to meet citizens.

He noted that problems raised at Nitish’s Janta Darbar often remain unresolved.

He doubted the effectiveness of solving issues for multiple districts by during the tour.

Tejashwi demanded transparency on whose money was being used and whether it would bring tangible benefits to the public.

Sanjay Jha claimed Nitish Kumar has a impressive tour record:

Sanjay Jha emphasized that Nitish Kumar has been conducting state tours since 2005, engaging directly with the public and accelerating development schemes.

“Whether the temperature is 4 degrees or 44 degrees, Nitish Kumar is always committed to work for the common people of Bihar and he does Yatras. He has a great track record, The upcoming Yatra is his 15th one,” Jha said.

“The Samvad Yatra is a continuation of Nitish’s commitment to public service and is aimed at advancing women’s welfare and overall development,’ Jha said.

Jha accused Tejashwi of deflecting attention from his party’s track record. He highlighted how industrialists and doctors migrated from Bihar during the RJD tenure under Tejashwi’s father, Lalu Prasad Yadav,

Jha said, “The public remembers what Tejashwi’s father Lalu Prasad Yadav did when in power, and they also observe the benefits brought by Nitish Kumar’s tours.”

Jha defended the expenditure, arguing that Nitish’s travels ensure better monitoring and implementation of government schemes. He dismissed Tejashwi’s criticism, suggesting it lacked substance.

Broader Implications:

This political tussle underscores the ongoing rivalry between Nitish Kumar’s JDU and Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD, reflecting contrasting visions of governance. While Nitish Kumar emphasizes direct public engagement and grassroots planning, Tejashwi frames it as inefficient and extravagant.

The Mahila Samvad Yatra, with its focus on women’s welfare, appears to be a strategy to strengthen Nitish Kumar’s voter base in the state. However, the debate over its cost and effectiveness could influence public perception as the tour unfolds.
