Patna, August 18, 2025: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of schemes worth more than Rs 12,000 crore in Gaya on August 22.
Samrat Choudhary, who inspected the preparation at the Magadh University Campus, also chaired a review meeting with senior JDU leaders, Ministers and NDA constituent party leaders.
Samrat Choudhary attacked the opposition:
Later, addressing NDA workers at Cultural Bhawan, Haridas Seminary, Gaya, Choudhary launched a scathing attack on the opposition, particularly Congress and RJD.
“Some people add Jannayak before their names and some write Gandhi after their names, but writing does not make anyone a leader,” he said, indirectly targeting Rahul Gandhi.

He questioned whether the Congress, which imposed the Emergency, had the moral right to use the title Jannayak. Accusing both the Gandhi and Lalu families of looting Bihar, Choudhary said, Nitish Kumar has improved the state, while they only exploited it.”
Employment figures and development claims:
Samrat Choudhary contrasted Nitish Kumar’s governance with that of Lalu Prasad.
“Lalu Prasad did not give even one lakh government jobs during his tenure. Nitish Kumar gave 7.5 lakh from 2005 to 2020. Between 2020 to 2025, 50 lakh jobs and employment opportunities were created, and by 2025-30, one crore youth will be provided jobs and employment.”
Samrat Choudhary claimed the electricity connection rose from 17 lakh in 2005 to 2.14 crore during the NDA government.
“Currently, 1.64 crore consumers have a zero electricity bill. A scheme will soon provide panels with a 100% subsidy to households, in collaboration with the Centre and the state.
Infrastructure and religious projects:
Samrat Choudhary said Bihar’s infrastructure has been transformed under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
“Now, one can reach any part of the state from Patna in five hours; the government aims to reduce it to four hours by constructing four-lane highways and expressways,” he said.

Choudhary praised PM Modi for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and a grand temple of Goddess Janaki is being built at Punauradham, Sitamarhi, at the cost of Rs 1,000.
Samrat Choudhary urged NDA workers to take the government’s achievements to the grassroots levels.
Rapid development is happening in Bihar under PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. NDA workers must strengthen the organization down to the block level,” he said.
