Patna, May 24, 2024: BJP state president and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on  Friday promised to take stringent action against “sand, land and liquor mafias” linked to the RJD if the BJP returns to power after the Lok Sabha elections.

Samrat Choudhary promised strict action against goons:

Addressing a rally in Patliputra in support of BJP candidate Ram Kripal Yadav, Choudhary said he was compiling a list of accused mafias and vowed to bring them to book.

“I will put the goons of Lalu Prasad Yadav behind bars after the Lok Sabha election. No one will be able to help them,” he said.

He added that those named in his list would “either be put in Phulwarisharif prison or be forced to run towards Nepal,” and claimed he knew how to deal with the alleged criminals. Choudhary also questioned the electoral prospects of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in Patliputra.

“Lalu never won here. He is campaigning for his daughter, and I assure you she will not win,” he said.

Samrat Choudhary targeted Tejashwi Yadav:

Choudhary also took aim at Tejashwi Yadav, ridiculing the RJD leader’s public appearances and his family’s long spell in state politics.

“In the 1990s, Lalu said a prince cannot be born from a queen. He then made Rabri Devi chief minister and produced a host of princes and princesses. There is one prince who is now being carried around in a wheelchair,” Choudhary said.

The rally underlined the BJP’s strategy of attacking the RJD leadership on corruption and law-and-order grounds while boosting its candidates ahead of the next round of polling.
