Samrat Choudhary claimed that BJP central leadership will finalize NDA seat sharing in the Bihar poll 2025.

Patna, June 2, 2025: Following assertions by alliance partners about contesting a significant number of seats in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections 2025, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary clarified that the central leadership of the BJP will take the final call on seat-sharing within the NDA.
Speaking to media persons in Munger on Monday, Choudhary said: “Everyone is claiming a larger number of seats ahead of the election, but the seat-sharing formula will be finalized after discussions with alliance partners, and the central BJP leadership will decide how many seats each party will contest. As we smoothly distributed seats in the Lok Sabha elections, we will do the same for the Assembly polls.”
Samrat Choudhary’s remarks came after LJPRV’s ambition claim:
Samrat Choudhary’s remarks come a day after LJPRV leaders intend to contest at least 40 seats in the Bihar assembly elections 2025. Arun Bharti, the LJPRV Jamui MP hinted that party president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan might contest from a general seat, signaling a bid to broaden the party’s appeal.

Bharti had said that Chirag’s participation would significantly boost the NDA’s performance in the state.
Other NDA partners are also in the fray:
Adding to the complexity, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister and chief of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), another NDA ally, has also expressed the desire several times in the past to contest at least 20 seats in the 2025 elections.
Samrat Choudhary attacks RJD:
Choudhary took the opportunity to target RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying: “Lalu Prasad Yadav only becomes active during elections, but his track record is full of electoral defeats. The people of Bihar have consistently rejected his brand of politics.”

He added that the NDA remains confident under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and believes that the voters of Bihar will again place their trust in the alliance.
