Patna, September 24, 2025: After the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting at the historic Sadaqat Ashram in Patna, Sachin Pilot, the former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister launched a sharp attack on the BJP-JD(U) alliance, declaring that the people of Bihar are fed up with the ruling NDA and demanding a change of regime in the 2025 Assembly elections.
Pilot, addressing the media after the high-level strategy session, said the meeting focused on pressing issues confronting Bihar.
“We have discussed many issues in the CWC meeting, including the flood situation, where the current government has completely failed. Law and order have collapsed, question papers are being leaked, and the government is resorting to lathi charge on the youth who are demanding jobs,” Pilot said.
Sachin Pilot pointed out corruption & NDA infighting:
Highlighting growing friction between the BJP and JD(U), Pilot said the NDA government stands discredited by corruption and internal rivalry.
“A number of corruption charges are leveled against leaders and ministers of the NDA. Interestingly, BJP leaders are exposing JD(U) leaders, and JD(U) leaders are exposing BJP leaders. People of Bihar are fed up with all this and want change,” he asserted.
Sachin Pilot confirmed that the INDIA bloc/Grand alliance will fight the Assembly elections with full strength, buoyed by a strong public response to Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav’s Voter Adhikat Yatra.
“We have received huge public support due to the Voter Adhikar Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav,” he said.
He stressed that the Congress Party retains a deep grassroots presence in Bihar despite its past electoral setbacks.
“The ideology, thinking, and workers of the Congress Party remain in every village, every lane, and every city. We may not always be in power, but our supporters are everywhere,” Pilot said.
Targeting the double-engine narrative:
Sachin Pilot accused the BJP-JD(U) government of failing to deliver on key promises, including jobs and economic growth.
“Unemployment, poverty, and migration are at their highest levels in Bihar. We are contesting not just to gain power, but to remove the double-engine government which has failed on every aspect and to change the system,” he declared.
The CWC meeting, chaired by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, was attended by top leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and the Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana.
