Rohini Acharya criticized the Modi government on the completion of 11 years, calling it “11 years of misery.”

Patna, June 10, 2025: As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government completes 11 years of power at the Centre, Rohini Acharya daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav targeted the saffron leaders.
Rohini Acharya alleged mis-governance and economic failure on the Narendra Modi government:
In a scathing post on social media platform X, Rohini Acharya lashed out at the Modi government, terming its tenure as “11 years of the country’s misery.”
She accused the government of misgovernance, economic failures, and institutional weakening.
“Eleven years of the country’s misery Eleven years of the Modi government have passed by forcefully finding faults in the achievements of Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, UPA governments, and claiming the achievements of the previous governments as their own,” she wrote.
Acharya criticized the government for not delivering any “unique or original” achievements and claimed that the economy had been “ruined” under Modi’s leadership.

She further alleged the government had promoted corruption and false propaganda.
Her detailed critique also included foreign encroachment and increasing cross-border infiltration, uncontrolled inflation and record unemployment, declining rupee value against the dollar, a historic surge in foreign debt, India’s alleged isolation on the global stage, the ongoing crisis in Manipur, which she said has been two years of anarchy, attempts to undermine constitutional institutions, the misuse of government agencies against political opposition.
She also accused the Modi government of politicizing military operations for electoral gain, spreading social and religious division, and suppressing minorities and Dalits in the country. She also criticized the Modi government for providing just five kilos of grain per month as a token welfare gesture, engaging in vendetta politics and shielding corrupt individuals, and offenders selling off national resources to a select group of capitalist friends.
“Despite all this, the process of shamelessly patting its own back continues,” she concluded.
Modi Government’s 11-year tenure:
Narendra Modi first assumed office as Prime Minister in 2014 after the BJP-Led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a historic majority.
The government was re-elected in 2019 and again in 2024, making Modi only the second Prime Minister in India’s history after Jawahar Lal Nehru to win three consecutive terms.

The Modi government has highlighted major policy reforms, infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, and welfare schemes such as PMAY, Ujjwala Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission as key accomplishments.
However, opposition leaders continue to raise concerns over issues such as unemployment, democratic backsliding, freedom of expression, and economic inequality.
