Patna, April 12, 2024: RJD national vice president Devendra Yadav on Friday alleged irregularities in the party’s ticket distribution, claiming that trading took place during the selection process.
Devendra Yadav targeted the RJD leadership:
“I am surprised by the ticket distribution at the party. During the RJD parliamentary board meeting, I suggested to the senior leaders that to avoid the selling of tickets, but no answer was given to me. Lalu Prasad Yadav hates RSS, yet tickets were given to leaders who came from the BJP, while loyal leaders who stayed in the party for years were ignored,” Yadav said.
He further revealed that he had written a letter to Lalu Prasad Yadav on April 3, but had not received any response.
Recently, the parliamentary board decided that tickets should only be given to candidates with the capacity to win elections. However, this policy was not followed,” he added.
Devendra Yadav supported Pappu Yadav:
Devendra Tadav openly extended support to Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav in Purnea and announced that he would also support Hina Shahab, the widow of Mohammad Shahabuddin, in Siwan.
“I came here in Purnea to support Pappu Yadav, and I will go to Siwan to support Hina Shahab as well,” he said, while also questioning the choice of Bima Bharti as the RJD candidate from Purnea, calling her “not a well-known face” in the constituency.
