Patna, October 7, 2025: Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram made a significant announcement in Patna, stating that in the the women candidates may outnumber men in this Bihar Assembly Election.
While addressing the media persons in Patna, Ram said the Congress aims to ensure maximum representation of women in constituencies where the party contests.
Rajesh Ram claimed that seat-sharing will be finalized soon:
Addressing the issue of seat-sharing within the Grand Alliance, Rajesh Ram said the party is actively working on the final distribution, and an official announcement will be made soon.
During the press conference, Rajesh Ram condemned the shoe-hurling incident at a Supreme Court judge, calling it highly condemnable.
He described the act as a direct attack on the Constitution and judiciary.

Jharkhand government minister Deepika Pandey, present at the press meet, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming, “They are acting like cousins.
She questioned the timing and scope of the Rs 10,000 financial assistance given to women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, asking why only 1.21 crore women benefit while others remain in poverty.
Pandey also highlighted the implementation of the promises made in Jharkhand as a benchmark for Bihar.
In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Congress contested on 70 seats in Bihar and won only 19.
For 2025, with additional constituent partners in the Grand Alliance, including Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) led by Mukesh Sahani, Pashupati Kumar Paras-led Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) and Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), it is expected that Congress will contest fewer seats than in 2020.
