Rahul Gandhi to visit Darbhanga on May 15, Launches ‘Nyay Samvad’ to address youth issues in Bihar.

Patna, May 14, 2025: Congress leader and leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to visit Darbhanga on May 15 as part of a statewide launch of ‘Nyay Samvad’ a

Congress initiative aimed at addressing the concerns of students and youth in Bihar.

According to Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Leader of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi will engage in direct dialogue with students, particularly from Dalit, Mahadalit, backward, and minority communities, on pressing issues such as privatization of education, unemployment, and mass migration.

“Rahul Gandhi will reach Darbhanga on Thursday. Alongside him, top Congress leader will interact with youth across all 38 districts of Bihar simultaneously,” Khan told reporters in Patna on Wednesday.

Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders will focus on inequality in education and migration:

Khan said the event would spotlight the deteriorating condition of public education and the challenges faced by marginalized communities.

“Due to the privatization of education, poor students are unable to access quality learning. Hostels for SC, ST, backward classes and minorities are in bad condition.

Even scholarships of Rs.1, 000 are not distributed on time,” Khan said.

He criticized the government’s student credit card scheme, arguing that loans are not the solution, and instead demanded free education from KG to PG for all.

Concerns over reservation and industrial backwardness:

Khan also voiced concerns over the dilution of reservation policies in government institutions and the unchecked growth of private educational establishments, which he claimed have further marginalized disadvantaged communities.

“If the reservation structure of the country is disturbed, we will not allow it,” Khan asserted, adding that Dalits, backward classes, and minorities continue to be excluded from educational opportunities and are forced to migrate due to lack of local employment.

He questioned the BJP-led state and central governments on their failure to create jobs, support students, or boost industrial development in Bihar.

“We are contesting elections with full strength but want answers from the government. Why are these students still deprived of basic facilities? What is the plan to stop migration and promote industrial development?” Khan asked.

Nyay Samvad’: Congress’s youth-centric campaign:

With elections approaching, Congress is using Nyay Samvad to re-establish its connection with Bihar’s youth, particularly those from historically marginalized communities.

The party aims to position itself as a champion of social justice, education, equity, and youth employment, amid growing disenchantment with the state’s development trajectory.
