Patna, November 4, 2025: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that he is deliberately promoting short video addiction among youths to distract them from core issues like unemployment and paper leak.
Addressing a massive rally of the Grand Alliance in Aurangabad, Rahul Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi tells youths to make reels and watch videos. He said that data is available at a cheap rate, but only benefits his industrialist friends Adani and Ambani. When you make reels, the money goes in their pockets. The idea is to keep you busy with videos so that you stop asking about jobs, education, health, paper leak, etc.”
Rahul Gandhi claimed the Modi government wants to distract people from real issues:
Rahul Gandhi alleged that watching social media sights is like an addiction, which is being pushed by this government among youth in the same way alcohol or drugs damage society.
He further claimed that thousands of patients from Bihar line up outside AIIMS Delhi due to poor healthcare in the state.

On the Agniveer recruitment scheme, Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi has shut the door for stable jobs in defence. Angiveer will be thrown out after four years. Even if they die in action, they will not get martyr status and their families won’t get support from the government.”
Accusing the Centre of privatizing public sector units, he said historically PSUs like HAL, BHEL, Indian Oil, provided jobs to Dalit, Mahadalit, OBC and EBC youths—but now they have been handed over to industrial friends of the Prime Minister.
Rahul Gandhi also blamed Nitish Kumar for forcing lakhs of youths from Bihar to work as labourers across the country.
“Whenever I go to the country like Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, and even Ladakh, I see youths of Bihar working as labour. Nitish Kumar has ruled for 20 years, and the Bihar youths have become Mazdoor.”
Bihar’s educational superiority was ruined, says Rahul Gandhi:
He also said that historically Bihar had the world’s finest seat of learning—Nalanda, where students from Japan, Korea, China, England were coming—but now our students are forced to study USA, England, China, Japan, Korea and even Uzbekistan.
Calling Nitish Kumar a remote-controlled CM, Rahul Gandhi said actual control of Bihar is with PM Modi.

“Nitish Kumar is not in control of Bihar. The remote is in Narendra Modi’s hands. Whatever Modi wants, Nitish Kumar does,” he said.
Referring to Modi’s recent Chhath appearance in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi mocked it as drama.
“Narendra Modi said he would take a bath in the Yamuna River, but a clean water pipe was arranged for him. A special pond was created. The media channels went there to cover the event, and one of them mistakenly leaked the video of the pipe; Modi quietly refused to take a bath and backed out,” Gandhi said.
He alleged that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah know that they cannot win the Bihar election through votes and will rely on vote chori like Maharashtra, Haryana and the Lok Sabha.
“Vote Chori is an attack on the Constitution of BR Ambedkar. If the Constitution goes, only Modi and his industrial friends Adani and Ambani will remain.
Rahul Gandhi gave one major guarantee: “If the Grand Alliance forms the government in Bihar, we will build a world-class university in Bihar where students from across the world will come to study.”
He said the Mahagathbandhan government would for all sections of people, including Dalits, Mahadalits, Minorities, EBC, OBC, and also poor general category people.
