Patna, September 26, 2025: Congress General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday directly interacted with nearly 3,000 women at the Shakti Adhikar Mahila Samvad program held at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna.
Urging women to recognize their strength and dignity, Priyanka accused the ruling parties of using cash incentives to woo voters ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
“You don’t recognize your power, but political parties do—that is why they are giving Rs 10,000 before elections. They know they cannot form a government without your support,” she said, appealing to women to demand respect and lasting change instead of short-term benefits.
Priyanka Gandhi highlighted the Grand Alliance promises:
Unveiling the Congress-led alliance’s promises, Priyanka Gandhi announced that, if elected, the government would provide Rs. 2,500 per month to every woman in Bihar, increase honorariums for Jeevika sisters, Anganwadi workers, Lawyers, and other contractual employees.
Apart from that, she also promised to implement Rs. 25 lakh health insurance per family, similar to the scheme introduced in the earlier Congress government of Rajasthan and allot 3 dismils of land in urban areas and 5 dismils in rural areas to landless families, with property registered in the name of women.
Priyanka Gandhi targeted the state and Centre over migration:
Targeting both the state and central governments, Priyanka highlighted the lack of employment opportunities that force men to migrate while women shoulder family responsibilities.
During the session, professional women—including domestic workers, MNREGA workers, Jeevika Didis, Angabadi and ASHA workers, lawyers, and doctors—shared their struggles.
Priyanka Gandhi took selfies, sang “Hum Honge Kanyaab,” a song and received chants of “Vote thieves, leave the throne” from the audience.
After the Patna interaction, Priyanka left for Gandhi Maidan in Motihari, where she is set to address the Har Ghar Adhikar Rally.
