Preity Zinta is making her comeback on the silver screen with “Lahore 1947”.

Mumbai, April 24, 2024: After a long hiatus, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is making her much-awaited comeback in the upcoming film Lahore1947, starring opposite Sunny Deol.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker RajKumar Santoshi, who earlier collaborated with Deol on the blockbuster Ghayal, the film has officially gone on floors.

The announcement has sparked a wave of excitement across social media, with fans celebrating the return of the Kal Ho Na Ho actress to the big screen after several years.

The actress has officially begun shooting for her comeback film, Lahore 1947, produced under Aamir Khan Productions.

Preity Zinta shared a series of photographs from the set on her X (Formally Twitter) and Instagram accounts, giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the period drama.

In one of the photos of the film’s clapperboard on her social media, Preity Zinta captioned it with a simple yet powerful statement.

“On set for Lahore 1947,” he said.

Another image showed her sharing a candid moment with director Rajkumar Santoshi, hinting at warm camaraderie behind the scenes.

The period drama, which was officially announced in October last year (2023), boasts a stellar cast including Sunny Deol, veteran actress Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Karan Deol, the elder son of Sunny Deol.

Santoshi, known for classics like Ghayal and Damini, is set to helm the project, reuniting with Sunny after decades.

Fans flooded the comments section with excitement, calling Preity Zinta the queen of Bollywood and expressing their eagerness to see her return to the big screen.
