Prediction of rain and lightning strikes in Bihar’s 10 districts.
Patna July 9: The current weather conditions in Bihar are quite severe, with heavy rainfall, lightning strikes, and worsening flood situations making life difficult for the people of the state.
The meteorological department has predicted heavy rain and lightning strikes in 10 districts of Bihar on Tuesday.
The flood situation also worsening, especially in the northern regions of Bihar.
Lightning strikes 45 fatalities reported since July due to lightning strikes in various districts.
Heavy rain is expected to take place in in Siwan, Gopalganj, East Champaran, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura, Araria, Purnea, Aurangabad, and Kishanganj districts while the met department also predicted moderate rain in Rohtas, Kaimur, Katihar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, and other areas.
Residents are urged to stay safe, follow local advisories, and take precautions to protect themselves from these hazardous weather conditions.
The people have been asked to stay under concrete houses during the rain, avoid going into agricultural fields or taking shelter under trees and stay away from electric poles.
North Bihar’s West Champaran and Gopalganj districts are experiencing severe flooding due to water discharge from the Valmiki Nagar Gandak Barrage. Villages in Sonversa block in West Champaran district have turned into islands due to the flooding. Water also entered several villages in the Nautan block.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take the necessary precautions and stay informed about the latest updates from local authorities.
