Patna, January 5, 2025: In a high-level review meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit in Patna, it was informed that all land acquisition-related obstacles for the Tajpur-Bakhtiyarpur Greenfield bridge project have been successfully resolved.
Officials apprised Pratyay Amrit that a weekly work plan has been prepared for the project and that construction work is progressing as scheduled.

The meeting also involved a detailed review of two major irrigation and water management projects, such as the North Koel Reservoir Project and the Mandai Weir Project.
Emphasizing that both projects are among the top priorities of the Chief Minister, Pratyay Amrit directed all concerned departments to ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines.
He indicated that the Chief Minister may personally inspect these projects in the near future.
During the review of the North Koel Reservoir Project, Pratyay Amrit informed the meeting that he would undertake a field visit next week to assess the on-ground progress and resolve any remaining issues.
While reviewing the Mandai Weir Project, the Chief Secretary issued clear instructions to ensure timely and uninterrupted payment to landowners, stating that a delay in compensation would adversely affect the pace of work.
He stressed that the payment process must continue without any interruption so that project execution remains unhindered.

The review meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Water Resource Department Santosh Kumar Mall, Principal Secretary of Planning and Development Mayank Varwede, Secretary of Road Construction Department, Pankaj Pal, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Shirsat Kapil Ashok, Secretary (Expenditure) of Finance Department Rachna Patil along with representatives of construction agencies, contractors and other senior officers from various departments.
