Patna, July 21, 2025: Jan Suraj architect Prashant Kishor, who arrived in Siwan as part of his Bihar Badlaav Yatra, took sharp digs at NDA leader Upendra Kushwaha and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar while addressing a public meeting in Raghunathpur on Monday.
Reacting to Upendra Kushwaha’s recent remark suggesting that Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, should lead the JD(U), Prashant Kishor said, “This clearly means Upendra Kushwaha does not trust Nitish Kumar’s leadership. If that is the case, why is he still in the NDA?”
Prashant Kishor criticized Upendra Kushwaha:
Kishor further challenged Kushwaha to leave the NDA, saying,” He has become a Rajya Sabha MP with Nitish Kumar’s support. If he has issues with Nitish’s leadership, he should resign from the Rajya Sabha and separate from Nitish Kumar. Staying in Rajya Sabha with Nitish’s support, wanting a ministerial post, and complaining about him is not possible.”
Nitish’s last session as CM:
Taking a direct swipe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Prashant Kishor claimed that the ongoing monsoon session of the Bihar Assembly would be Nitish’s last as leader of the house.
“This is going to be the last session of Nitish Kumar’s long political career in the Assembly. After this, his innings will come to an end, as the people of Bihar will not give him another chance to continue,” Kishor declared.
Prashant Kishor’s remarks come as political activity intensifies in Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections, with the monsoon session witnessing high-pitched confrontations between the ruling NDA and the opposition, and questions being raised within the NDA over Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
